Super Successful Fall Clothing Drive!

From September 4th through October 16th, we held our Annual Fall Clothing Drive.  Everyone was asked to bring in their gently worn clothing. It was another success! #ABCaresAlways

As you can see from the photos, a lot of clothing was collected…almost 400 lbs. Kathie’s SUV was stuffed full!  She and Kori dropped everything off at The Clothing Bank of Delaware in Wilmington on Monday, October 21st.

Cheryl Bryant, the Director of the Clothing Bank, said in her email to Kathie, “First of all, I want to thank you for your continued support! Last year, Friendship House helped more than 13,000 people in Delaware by creating a loving, supportive community where people belong and can thrive. Your generous donation to the Clothing Bank is part of what allows us to continue to do this important work. I am incredibly thankful!  Thank you for believing in us, and for supporting our Clothing Bank. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to all those involved.”

Like we always say, we have the most generous employees around!

The Clothing Bank of Delaware has three primary missions. First, it serves as a clearing house for the collection and distribution of donated clothing and a delivery service to those community agencies in direct contact with individuals and families in need. Second, it provides entry level employment and training to women re-entering the work force. Third, it creates volunteer opportunities for churches, businesses, and community organizations. If you’re interested in donating, clothing donations are accepted at 1603 Jessup Street, Suite 3 in Wilmington Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
